Okay, it’s not Christmas, but you should pin this for next year! There are so many cute hats for Christmas, so I grabbed 2 patterns from Ravelry for the Christmas card photo shoot for my 2 beautiful great nieces! I think they turned out so cute, and babies + crochet make a great mix!!!
Both of these hats work up quickly. I made them both in a day because I forgot the shoot was coming up, and somehow I can always find a way to make even crocheting into a high-stress activity!
The big girl hat is this Santa Hat by Red Heart. I used DK yarn and a size G hook instead of worsted and an H hook to make it the right size for a little girl.
The newborn hat is this Elf Hat by Space Cheesecake Crochet. I also used DK and a size H hook on this one because I was making it for a preemie. I also put a pom pom instead of tassel at the point.
I’m very pleased with the results even though I have to admit that any hat would look amazing on these 2 beautiful girls!!!!
Thank you, Red Heart/Edie Eckman and Space Cheesecake Crochet for these great patterns!
